Tanjim Hossain is the Chair and a Professor of Marketing in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga, with a cross-appointment to the Marketing Area at the Rotman School of Management. He is also cross appointed to the Department of Economics. He serves as the Director of Behavioural Economics in Action at Rotman (BEAR) centre. His main research interests include behavioural economics, quantitative marketing, and industrial organization, especially using field and laboratory experiments to test the validity of theoretical predictions in the real world. His research has been published in American Economic Review, Management Science, Marketing Science, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies and other top journals in Economics and Marketing. , and has been featured in The Economist, USA Today, and other news outlets. He has received multiple awards for excellence in refereeing and serves on the editorial board of Management Science.
